Whoa!

Alright I know I am guilty of laziness. So sue me! I can blog whenever the hell I want! But I still feel guilty when I don't. I have accomplished a lot while not blogging though! So far I got my gold dragonouv in COD4 , I successfully opened up my first gearbox when I upgraded my TM Famas to metal gears, bushings and m120 spring and i reinstalled Flight Sim 10 and got re addicted to it.

I saw this little tid bit of news on digg while looking for a good coming back story and got rather excited.

Take-Two Interactive announced today that BioShock 2 was officially in the
works, under the development wing of the recently formed 2k Marin studio. The sequel—rumored to actually be a prequel—to the Xbox 360 and PC shooter is planned for a fourth-quarter fiscal 2009 release date.

Take-Two's fiscal year ends October 31, so expect it to hit unspecified
platforms (read: Xbox 360) before the '09 holidays.
Take-Two also noted that the original BioShock has 2 million unit sales under its belt since its August '07 release. No pressure, 2K Marin! No pressure at all.

World of Duty!

Activision is considering a MMO Fps for the the next Call of Duty!

"The head cheese at Activation, Bobby Kotick, recently made headlines for his assertion that, in order to compete properly with World of Warcraft, publishers may need to invest nearly a billion dollars in such a venture"

A billion dollars! Are you kidding me? How the heck do you make money off creating a game that cost you a billion dollars. Well they might try some in game advertisement which would suck but would easily be better than a monthly fee.

"Kotick parlayed that into a thought on in-game advertising, in which he
pointed to Starcraft as a model for short-session, ladder tournament play that
can easily support ad spots."

Most people don't think that it's gonna come out. Personally I'd love it! Maybe you would be part of the us army or terrorists and wouldtravel around the middle east or some other place filling out the orders of your superiors. Gun customization would be pushed to the limit as well!

Crysis for Xbox 360 Please god!

"A glib response from a Crytek representative may have revealed that Crysis is coming to the Xbox 360. The rep reportedly told Primotech that the Xbox 360 version was being shown behind close doors to "prospective publishers" at last month's Game Developers Conference.

This is far from a confirmation; the Crytek rep may have misspoken. Furthermore, we'd be surprised if Crysis PC publisher Electronic Arts didn't have the foresight to secure rights to the console game as well. We do know that Crytek planned on showing off a console version of CryEngine 2 (which runs Crysis), and although the assets were likely Crysis, perhaps the prospective publishers were just looking for a game engine. "

When I read this on Joystiq I was more than elated. I heard that the ps3 version was coming out some time in the summer but I was starting to doubt it will ever come out for xbox 360. Don't get me wrong I am not suprised It would be a very smart desicion to make a dulled down version of crysis for xbox 360. Just because they wouldn't have to rewrite the engine for the Xbox 360 because it obvously has directX support where the ps3 does not.

I know I shouldn't be talking like it has already been announced but, hey I'd buy it the release day!

PS3 Expects price cut this year This time for real!

Alright its been a little longer than I said but i think the time was well worth it. I have taken a lot of time thinking of the blog and it should really improve in the next couple of weeks. I shall be able to post much more often because I have scheduled my days much more effietenly and plan to post mostly about money saving news and gaming news you actual find interesting w/ a little bit of randomness for example a comedy video here or there that relates to gaming. So anyway i hope you plan to stay and enjoy my blog further. : )

PS3 Expects price cut this year This time for real!

I know Already did a article about the ps3 reducing the price for its componets by half by increasing parts effeceintcy. I also prrecited the ps3 would be having a price drop pretty soon because of this even though some people thought that sony would just want the profits.

"We anticipate Sony will have another price slash on the PS3 this year, and come Christmas, consumers who originally bought the Wii will likely purchase the PS3,"said Pam Tufegdzic, an iSuppli analyst.

Well hah! I am simply amazing! No not really I probally just got lucky cause, really who can predict what sonys going to do?Anyway personally I think ps3's future is looking pretty dang bright with this price drop and with manyExclusive games, these things are sure to sell fast.

Sony is offering a better forthcoming software pipeline with blockbuster titles like "Grand Turismo 5", which will boost PS3 sales this year said Pam.

Portal 2!

I know this is a little behind the news but I figured better late than never. Portal 2 has been confirmed! To many of us this comes as a joy but some wonder if it will be able to succeed as a full campaign game rather than a "mini game". Personally I think if valve puts their mind to it portal 2 could be another amazing game.

There are so many possibilities with making a game like this. There is practically no way to make this game suck, unless they try to pull a halo and do the same exact thing. They should defiantly stick to the original plan but they should shake some things in it. Like maybe add a multi player function where you must use teamwork to advance through the stages, or you race to the end and the first one there wins.

One of the coolest things they could do with it would be the ability to make levels. I could spend hours setting up turrets and knocking them out in new and creative ways! Though I hesitate to say they should add guns to it because i wouldn't want it to turn into half-life but who knows! Maybe they could add another cool gun like the gravity gun or something.

Regardless I yearn for the day I bring portal 2 to the checkout line.

Original story
shacknews

"Valve's acclaimed puzzle-action hybrid Portal will be given a sequel, according to the game's lead designer Kimberly Swift.
"Well, I believe Doug Lombardi who is our lead marketing director at Valve, has announced Portal 2," said Swift in an interview with G4TV.
Lombardi had previously stated that more Portal was on the way, but Swift's comment is the first mention of a true sequel to be made thus far.
No further details on the project were provided.
Portal won the Game Developers Choice Award for Game of the Year last night in San Francisco. It also took home the awards for Innovation and Best Game Design."

Online game of the week: Electric Man 2

Electric Man 2

Electric man is a great game I found. Its a very in-depth stick man fighting game. The basic plot line is aliens are having this huge arena style championship. People are forced participate and fight to the death in arenas which seem to vary according to the enemy's you face.

The game features some great controls like slow-mo attacks that deal more damage but take energy to do and extremely good animation. Even the clumsiest of gamers can make the game look very interesting with simple battle moves like kick ,punch , and grabs. Which can be varied by running or standing still you can deal a great amount of damage to your enemy.

When I first found this game I wasn't even sure if i was going to play it but once I did I immediately knew it was going to be FOGW because of its amazing animations and the fact it wasn't a button smasher as first expected. It actually takes some skill. So give it a try and tell me what you think of it!

Brain controlled headset?

A Futuristic headset that looks like a contraption out of a Star wars will go on sale next year. This headset isn't your normal run of the mill starwars helmet. In fact it has nothing to do with star wars. It is a Neuro-headset that interprets your brain signals. No its not for mind reading, Its for video games!

This is the first consumer sold device of its kind and price estimates is only about 300$ which isn't bad considering a tv headset can cost you 500 dollars and all that does is show a picture!

This headset can be used to interpret your facial expersions and translate it on to your avatar. I personally think the coolest feature is you will be able to move around in your world just by thinking! So Geuss what you video game couch potoatoes. You no longer need to move any muscles!

There is also a gyroscope on the headset, this will allow you to move your head and see instead of having to turn all the way around. I can not wait! This is the next step in gaming and towards the reality of vitural reality.

James' Top 5 Tips For Gaming on the Cheap (game guide part 2)

Hi, I'm James from Nobody's Listening Podcast (http://nlcast.com/). I, like you, am a gamer with limited funds for gaming. I've had to be creative in my attempts to keep my

gaming life alive. Below you'll find 5 ways I'd suggest you investigate if you'd like to be more successful in your attempt to game with little or no money.

5. Wait!
No gamer I've ever met wants to wait to play the latest and greatest game out there. I know I don't. But I do. Games are always the most expensive when they first come out. If you can wait a bit, at least three options become available that will save you money: 1) Buying them used at a game trading shop, 2) Buying from eBay, 3) Games eventually go on sale or are reduced in price at the local super mart.

4. Share!
If you must have it right away what's stopping you from splitting the cost with another gamer friend? You play then he plays. It'll take some teamwork and a trustworthy friend... but it's an option to consider.

3. Trade!I don't use game trading shops because I think they're a huge rip but I've heard of folks getting games for cheap by trading in other games they've played. I would never do this however because I'd rather...

2. Sell!I've had great luck selling my old games on eBay. Why should the game trading places get all the profit? Sure you have to wait a week or so for the game to sell for your payment... but it's worth it. Online auctions aren't your only option. I've posted ads to my co-workers (or you could have your Mom or Dad advertise for you if you're a kid) and sold stuff for an even higher profit. There's no fees to pay if you sell it yourself!

1. Bribe!Whether your a kid or someone's spouse... you can always find something someone else wants and is willing to pay if you can provide it. In my case, I'm trying to talk my wife into buying me an Xbox 360 if I agree to lose a bunch of weight. What can you think up? Will your mom buy you a game if you bring home some A's on your next report card? Will your wife give you guilt-free permission to buy a game if you give back rubs for a month? The sky's the limit guys! Use your mind for something more constructive than wishing!

How to buy a video game guide Part 1

Wheither your buying a game for a new system or a old system a console or a pc or maybe even a handheld. Who wants to dish out 40-60 dollars? NO ONE! but I can't really complain because 9/10 the game is worth it for me. Simply because of a few precautions i take before buying games. If you take a few minutes to do this stuff before buying a game you might find out you don't like it or you do and you also found it for half off.

1.Do you really want this game? Before you go running off to a store to buy final fantasey 26 do a little research. I normally start off by googling the game and reading some reviews and if I am still intrested I'll do a search on youtube to watch gameplay and the trailers. The easiest way to decid whether or not you like the game is to take it for a test run. Convince your freind to let go of the controller and let your try it out or if you don't have freinds rent it at blockbuster or some other game rental store and rent a copy.

2.If you've convinced your self you want the game find it for cheap! There is a couple of sites I go to to find the game I am looking for cheap. First I go here Which is basically price grabber but in a format I prefer. Then if I find a better than normal price I find which store it is and go here and check to see if there is any good coupons for the store.

3.If all else fails, EBAY! I am not talking regular ebay though. In one of my older articles i brought up the site Fat Fingers. Which basically finds typos in ebay. I may not make much sense so pay attention. lets say I want to buy halo3. Some radom guy hated it so hes selling it on ebay but he mispelled it though, in his fit of rage spelling it hal 3. This site will find these products so basically you will be the only one that found that auction and will have no competitors.

4.This is more of a tip. Think about how long you will play this game. If you spend 50 dollars on a game that will entertain you for 250 hours its worth way more than lets say a movie where you will pay tops of around 12 bucks (with food and drink) for a couple hours of entertainment.

5.Ok one more thing. Here is a email subscriber that will send you the days deals from cheap ass gamer. Which won't neccesarly help you short term but it should help alot for finding random deals.

Oblivion is a great RPG that has hit home for most people. Its full of action, pretty good graphics and first person shooter style makes it a Extremely addicting game. I have known freinds that played 100 hours on it and didn't even touch the main quest! Personally its one of my favorite rpgs ever. I highly recomend it to you if you haven't played it yet!

Free online Game of the week: LineRider!

I found line rider at school and like a lot of kids in my town I loved it. Such a simple but genius idea. You draw something and a little man on a sled rides it.You could draw anything you wanted and that was about it. There has been a lot of improvements since i first used it back in the simple days and now it is so much more. Now you can save and load tracks that you have been working on. You can draw scenery and detail that won't interfere with the rider. As a added bonus our school didn't block it which was a miracle for me and my Friends. We lived to much time scared we would get caught using proxy servers or such that when we found this little game we abandoned those tools.

Pros:

  1. Fun and simple
  2. Is not blocked by most services
  3. Extremely addicting
  4. There are many great videos of amazing line rider videos.

Cons:

  1. I wish there was a color option
  2. Extremely addicting (Not really a con)

Here's a quick line rider I made in about half a hour. I wish the video included the building segment but when I took a quick break to play COD4 I accidentally didn't save the video files.

Xbox marketplace releases free game for their crappy service.

Who the **** am I ?

Xbox live released a free arcade game because of the horrible serivce over the holidays. I downloaded it today and was rather dissapointed. It seems like a fun game but not something to really spend much time on. By the description I though it would be a fps, but it is the usual arcade like game but I decided I would still try it for the sake of the blog. After about 20 minutes into I came to a reasonable conclusion. I would easily take good service over this lame game but we all can't be choosers ,can we?

"Undertow is a fast-paced action-shooter that sends you underwater as you battle up to 16 players for control of the oceans! Non-stop conquest-style battles push the envelope of onscreen effects and combat action and boast some of the most stunning graphics ever seen in an Xbox LIVE Arcade title.

  • Combat control: Undertow features relentless high-speed combat with simple and intuitive controls.
  • Visual style: The incredible next-gen graphics resonate with a vibrant underwater visual style.
  • Multiplayer matches: Undertow features 16-player multiplayer battles and two-player co-op modes.
  • Races and upgrades: The game includes three different playable races, each with four unique upgradeable units.

The Goozex.

Now this isn't new information at all. in fact it is quite old but I would like to tell you all about a great game trading website and if done correctly will cost you no money. This is goozex.com the reason it is so great is because if you have some old games you wanna trade you put it on the website. Someone then requests it and you send it to him/her. You then get goozex points in return. With those points you get to choose a game and then someone ships it to you. It is very reliable and the only time you have to pay is the shipping and handling. Now most people have to pay for trade "credits" and you will to have to after some time, but if you keep getting people onto the site you get 5 free trades. And thats that.

Free online game of the week: Clear Vision

Free online game of the week

I am starting something new. One free online game a week (like super Mario online).
http://www.addictinggames.com/clearvision.html

I really liked the overall experience of this game. It had a great story line, great blood splats, and who doesn't love sniping someone? It also had a great format for a free game. I liked being able to walk in my apartment and pick up a newspaper that shows the story of the crime I just committed. There was a major flaw in this game though. Its the length. The time it took me to beat the game was under 5 minutes. It was also very easy. All you had to do was point your mouse and shoot. There was one challenging part where I had too shoot two people. I shot one and the other ran. Shooting the runner was difficult and fun. They could of made a lot more running targets.

I made this little music video that sums up the story line. If you can't tell I like system of a down.

Tell me what you think! Comment or digg!

Sony reduces PS3 production cost by half! Do I smell a price drop?

Sony has managed to reduce the manufacturing cost of the PS3 by half since its release date in November. It started as 800 dollars meaning a 200 dollars lost for Sony for each system sold. Which seems alot to you and me, but with each person buy several games and maybe a extra controller, The price starts adding up. Now they are currently selling at little or no cash lost. They did this by reducing chip size and improving general production efficiency.
Why do you care? Well besides being a interesting tid-bit, you shouldn't. Nothing has been said but maybe this will mean a price drop in the future.

"Don't expect it to come soon though. Sony are still riding a bit of a wave with regards to PS3 sales and with a number of high profile games coming out in the next few months, that can only improve.

Hello

I would like to say hello to the people who read this blog, however many there might be. So well Im just gonna start posting but first I would like to say a few things I will try to post atleast three times a week about games and such, also I have contacted some of my podcasting buddies and I am asking them to help advertise. Ok now thats that out of the way I will start. Oh sorry one last thing, before I forget I will try to post some topics about saving money on gaming and such but I would like to leave that more to Allen and I will try to post up some big news on the systems.

How someone wants to sabotoge my blog

I could kill myself right now. You wanna know why? Well I'll tell you anyway:
So I am typing away writing
"Sorry about the not posting in a while, because as you know I have been working on a post for a week or so.What I just did will change that, I go on the computer and click out of something that popped up and began to finish up the article. Wait, Allen! That window you just exited was your post you have been working on forever!"
and I am about to click "Save" when my Internet randomly dies and lose all that data. It wasn't a big loss but I think there's someone out there who really doesn't want me to blog! I'm sure by now most of you think I am just making another excuse for not blogging, and I am but this ones for real.

Now , For for a little article to wet your whistle. I found a great website at http://fatfingers.com/Default.aspx
This website is really useful for finding cheap products. (like video games) What you do is type in a product and click find and a pop-up automatically brings you to eBay where fat fingers has searched almost every spelling error someone makes! For example I want halo 3. I type in halo 3 on fat fingers. If anyone in the world has spelled their product wrong like haelo 3 It will show. Almost guaranteeing you A cheap deal since no one in the world searches halo 3. Basically you will be given exclusive access to horrible spelling sellers on eBay.

I have heard some great testimonies about this product but I haven't' had the best of luck with it maybe cause I have been request to easily spelled words.

Tell me how much you saved!
