Portal 2!

I know this is a little behind the news but I figured better late than never. Portal 2 has been confirmed! To many of us this comes as a joy but some wonder if it will be able to succeed as a full campaign game rather than a "mini game". Personally I think if valve puts their mind to it portal 2 could be another amazing game.

There are so many possibilities with making a game like this. There is practically no way to make this game suck, unless they try to pull a halo and do the same exact thing. They should defiantly stick to the original plan but they should shake some things in it. Like maybe add a multi player function where you must use teamwork to advance through the stages, or you race to the end and the first one there wins.

One of the coolest things they could do with it would be the ability to make levels. I could spend hours setting up turrets and knocking them out in new and creative ways! Though I hesitate to say they should add guns to it because i wouldn't want it to turn into half-life but who knows! Maybe they could add another cool gun like the gravity gun or something.

Regardless I yearn for the day I bring portal 2 to the checkout line.

Original story

"Valve's acclaimed puzzle-action hybrid Portal will be given a sequel, according to the game's lead designer Kimberly Swift.
"Well, I believe Doug Lombardi who is our lead marketing director at Valve, has announced Portal 2," said Swift in an interview with G4TV.
Lombardi had previously stated that more Portal was on the way, but Swift's comment is the first mention of a true sequel to be made thus far.
No further details on the project were provided.
Portal won the Game Developers Choice Award for Game of the Year last night in San Francisco. It also took home the awards for Innovation and Best Game Design."

Online game of the week: Electric Man 2

Electric Man 2

Electric man is a great game I found. Its a very in-depth stick man fighting game. The basic plot line is aliens are having this huge arena style championship. People are forced participate and fight to the death in arenas which seem to vary according to the enemy's you face.

The game features some great controls like slow-mo attacks that deal more damage but take energy to do and extremely good animation. Even the clumsiest of gamers can make the game look very interesting with simple battle moves like kick ,punch , and grabs. Which can be varied by running or standing still you can deal a great amount of damage to your enemy.

When I first found this game I wasn't even sure if i was going to play it but once I did I immediately knew it was going to be FOGW because of its amazing animations and the fact it wasn't a button smasher as first expected. It actually takes some skill. So give it a try and tell me what you think of it!

Brain controlled headset?

A Futuristic headset that looks like a contraption out of a Star wars will go on sale next year. This headset isn't your normal run of the mill starwars helmet. In fact it has nothing to do with star wars. It is a Neuro-headset that interprets your brain signals. No its not for mind reading, Its for video games!

This is the first consumer sold device of its kind and price estimates is only about 300$ which isn't bad considering a tv headset can cost you 500 dollars and all that does is show a picture!

This headset can be used to interpret your facial expersions and translate it on to your avatar. I personally think the coolest feature is you will be able to move around in your world just by thinking! So Geuss what you video game couch potoatoes. You no longer need to move any muscles!

There is also a gyroscope on the headset, this will allow you to move your head and see instead of having to turn all the way around. I can not wait! This is the next step in gaming and towards the reality of vitural reality.

James' Top 5 Tips For Gaming on the Cheap (game guide part 2)

Hi, I'm James from Nobody's Listening Podcast (http://nlcast.com/). I, like you, am a gamer with limited funds for gaming. I've had to be creative in my attempts to keep my

gaming life alive. Below you'll find 5 ways I'd suggest you investigate if you'd like to be more successful in your attempt to game with little or no money.

5. Wait!
No gamer I've ever met wants to wait to play the latest and greatest game out there. I know I don't. But I do. Games are always the most expensive when they first come out. If you can wait a bit, at least three options become available that will save you money: 1) Buying them used at a game trading shop, 2) Buying from eBay, 3) Games eventually go on sale or are reduced in price at the local super mart.

4. Share!
If you must have it right away what's stopping you from splitting the cost with another gamer friend? You play then he plays. It'll take some teamwork and a trustworthy friend... but it's an option to consider.

3. Trade!I don't use game trading shops because I think they're a huge rip but I've heard of folks getting games for cheap by trading in other games they've played. I would never do this however because I'd rather...

2. Sell!I've had great luck selling my old games on eBay. Why should the game trading places get all the profit? Sure you have to wait a week or so for the game to sell for your payment... but it's worth it. Online auctions aren't your only option. I've posted ads to my co-workers (or you could have your Mom or Dad advertise for you if you're a kid) and sold stuff for an even higher profit. There's no fees to pay if you sell it yourself!

1. Bribe!Whether your a kid or someone's spouse... you can always find something someone else wants and is willing to pay if you can provide it. In my case, I'm trying to talk my wife into buying me an Xbox 360 if I agree to lose a bunch of weight. What can you think up? Will your mom buy you a game if you bring home some A's on your next report card? Will your wife give you guilt-free permission to buy a game if you give back rubs for a month? The sky's the limit guys! Use your mind for something more constructive than wishing!

How to buy a video game guide Part 1

Wheither your buying a game for a new system or a old system a console or a pc or maybe even a handheld. Who wants to dish out 40-60 dollars? NO ONE! but I can't really complain because 9/10 the game is worth it for me. Simply because of a few precautions i take before buying games. If you take a few minutes to do this stuff before buying a game you might find out you don't like it or you do and you also found it for half off.

1.Do you really want this game? Before you go running off to a store to buy final fantasey 26 do a little research. I normally start off by googling the game and reading some reviews and if I am still intrested I'll do a search on youtube to watch gameplay and the trailers. The easiest way to decid whether or not you like the game is to take it for a test run. Convince your freind to let go of the controller and let your try it out or if you don't have freinds rent it at blockbuster or some other game rental store and rent a copy.

2.If you've convinced your self you want the game find it for cheap! There is a couple of sites I go to to find the game I am looking for cheap. First I go here Which is basically price grabber but in a format I prefer. Then if I find a better than normal price I find which store it is and go here and check to see if there is any good coupons for the store.

3.If all else fails, EBAY! I am not talking regular ebay though. In one of my older articles i brought up the site Fat Fingers. Which basically finds typos in ebay. I may not make much sense so pay attention. lets say I want to buy halo3. Some radom guy hated it so hes selling it on ebay but he mispelled it though, in his fit of rage spelling it hal 3. This site will find these products so basically you will be the only one that found that auction and will have no competitors.

4.This is more of a tip. Think about how long you will play this game. If you spend 50 dollars on a game that will entertain you for 250 hours its worth way more than lets say a movie where you will pay tops of around 12 bucks (with food and drink) for a couple hours of entertainment.

5.Ok one more thing. Here is a email subscriber that will send you the days deals from cheap ass gamer. Which won't neccesarly help you short term but it should help alot for finding random deals.

Oblivion is cheap and fun!

All these games cost 30$

This is a link to Oblivion For Pc.
This is a link to Oblivion For Xbox 360
This is a link to Oblivion for Ps3.

Oblivion is a great RPG that has hit home for most people. Its full of action, pretty good graphics and first person shooter style makes it a Extremely addicting game. I have known freinds that played 100 hours on it and didn't even touch the main quest! Personally its one of my favorite rpgs ever. I highly recomend it to you if you haven't played it yet!
